Baumberger Rheinterrassen in Monheim am Rhein

We were there twice, Greek cuisine - it was delicious and value for money?. Beautiful view! Beer garden always very well attended. This means that some things take a while. But maybe you should just relax a bit and sit back. We are satisfied and would like to come back?

Unfortunately we only sat inside because the weather didn't play along. Service and food were very good. I would love to come back.

Had to wait a long time to be served even though only two other tables were occupied. The food was ok to good. Great location right on the Rhine.

We went to the Rheinterrassen on a Saturday when the weather was nice. There was live music for entertainment. The restaurant was well attended, but a manageable number of guests for a good restaurant or team. Dinner for four, our friends had arrived a few minutes before us and could order drinks for themselves relatively quickly When we arrived, we waited about 20 minutes until someone even asked us what we would like to drink. Then another 15 minutes until the order was finally brought. Menu small but nice. We ordered our food, the salad came after 15 minutes and was almost thrown on the table, carelessly pounded, there is no other way of expressing it. After about 35-40 minutes the main course came. Wrongly brought meals, gyros without onions and tzatziki were ordered and delivered to the table with onions and tzatziki. I wasn't angry about the tsatsiki, so I had a little more of this delicacy (probably homemade quality) In general, the food was very tasty, unfortunately not as hot as it could have been, but it tasted really good. * The service is bad underground *. We sat in front of empty plates and bowls for half an hour. You can only shake your head at the empty glasses ... Waiters walk by, don't clear up any abandoned tables next to them. Run back empty. Don't ask for wishes. Our friend was talking vividly and was holding her wine glass in her hand that was not empty. This was simply taken from her hand by a service employee, who then placed the re-ordered glass of wine in front of the woman, that it really touched the breast of our acquaintances very strongly. Had this happened to a male colleague, it would probably have had different consequences. Slow, unfriendly, sometimes impolite, poorly trained or poorly trained. A single employee was friendly and nice ... 10 different service employees felt served. Even waving them couldn't move them to the table. I haven't seen anything like that before. Sanitary facilities are simply embarrassing for the operator or should be. Unclean, smelly, only one of two taps in the ladies' room worked. A real shame. The food is so delicious, the chef has to be good! But the whole service around it is extremely bad and urgently needs improvement. Conclusion: If you don't feel disturbed by poor service, you can enjoy delicious Greek cuisine here. We would only order take away there ...

The view is great. Service is great and fast. Unfortunately, the food is not as good as it was 8 weeks ago. The meal today was a disaster from the menu of the day (braised beef with green beans) I cannot recommend the price / performance ratio (14.90) is not justified. What a shame

The location itself is great, but unfortunately not the food. Greek cuisine is now served here, at least you try it. My Metaxa Gyros consisted of 80% mushrooms with traces of Gyros. The sauce is convenience and came out straight away 1 hour later. On that evening, of all times, the old line was broken, so you had to use Kölsch instead of keys. Even the usual farewell ouzo was refused, maybe we weren't right for the waiter. In any case, he walked past us more than once with a full schnapps tray. Staff seems very annoyed. It's a shame, you can make more of it here.

Three stars for the service, the food and the location. Then the "new owner / manager" blew up a cheerful wedding party that was left until 8 p.m. by snarling at the guests who didn't understand anything. When the wedding couple asked him to communicate with them, it turned out that there was neither the dessert they had ordered nor the separate dance evening with their own music, which had been agreed, and that we could be glad that we were 'tolerated' at all. He also didn't want to know anything about a deposit. He was acting rude and unprofessional. A service person confidently saved the rest of the evening. It's a shame, but that was definitely the last time that the guests visit the restaurant under this leadership!

Baumberger Beach, I don't know how the name came about, but there is nothing to see of the beach. But you have to give the restaurant one thing, the view is wonderful! While you treat yourself to a homemade cake (which costs 4.50 euros per piece, which I find a bit expensive), you can watch the ships sailing across the Rhine and enjoy the sun. Until recently there was still good middle-class food here, this has been converted to a Greek concept. I have to say it tastes good for a Greek in Germany, of course nobody comes close to the kitchen in Greece. One thing that unfortunately struck me again and again, the service is often a long time coming. Possibly. 1 - 2 more waiters would leave a little more satisfaction with the customers during sunny peak times. On the whole a good place to relax after a walk along the Rhine and the apple meringue cake is really recommended. Bon Appetit give me a thumb.

We had to wait forever before we could order. Then another hour until we got the starter and one was forgotten. The other starter came after we asked the waiter about it. Until the main course came we had to wait up to an hour again and then our food arrived cold. The waiters are rude and disorganized, they only look for excuses like the kitchen is always to blame. Sometimes the side dishes are simply left out even though they are on the menu. We will happily spend our money elsewhere on good service. The disinfectant is also empty and the toilets are dirty. Goodbye forever

The rheinterrassen are also not unknown to me. Sometimes with a good cook, then again with a less good cook and now again with a good cook. We were 4 people and everyone was very happy with their food. So you can recommend the Rheinterrassen with regard to DoeisekRte and the great view of the moving ships, as it is a pleasure to sit here Have fun

Super delicious food. The Moussaka is a dream, the Bifteki is great. In addition, a very large terrace with a view of the Rhine and the usual annoying wasps in late summer. Bicycles can be parked well, there are some bike racks available to the right of the entrance. The service is quick and friendly.

Always a little highlight for us ... Pure relaxation to unwind a little ... The food has always been good so far ... the service is nice and friendly ... the prices ... OK ... we couldn't afford it every day, but every now and then you have to treat yourself to something ... we always like to come here again ...

Really beautiful location - both inside and outside. The outdoor terrace directly on the Rhine is of course perfect! We were also lucky enough to hear live Greek music that Saturday. It was like being on vacation. Waiter nice and quick when serving. 1 point deduction for eating. There is still some room for improvement here. Some of the starters seemed out of the tin. Meat and sauces were good. We'd love to come back and enjoy the Mediterranean flair on the Rhine.

Food was good but service a disaster. Waited over 70 minutes for the starter, no question whether something should be ordered, not even an ouzo after the invoice (other guests got one to say goodbye) ... Once and never again!

First very bad staff but now great. The restaurant has now become a Greek restaurant and is running perfectly. Very tasty food and good prices. Staff super super super super super super super super nice. Definitely recommended.

Very beautiful there. The view is perfect, the food is delicious and Kahm is quick. Tasty key old. Portions are sufficient, priced a little more expensive than elsewhere, but quality has its price. Will definitely be back

We were on a bike tour and spontaneously stumbled upon Baumberg Beach ? It has mostly Greek cuisine. The location is okay, with a beautiful outside terrace and a direct view of the Rhine. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. The gyro plate was € 13.90 and the Santorini plate was € 15.90 Everything would be served quickly. There is only room for improvement in the service staff ?

Our food was fantastically delicious and we were about to lick our plates ;-) the view from the terrace of the Rhine is simply fantastic. Sometimes you can enjoy this view from wicker beach chairs and eat and drink deliciously.

Very friendly service staff and great location, very quiet on the Rhine. Food was okay. Big portion. Unfortunately no children's portions are possible and the service is very slow. Therefore "only" three stars

Service was extremely slow, by rude waiters and who tried to overcharge is by adding the previous table occupants bill on to ours, despite the previous customers having left the money, which had been collected.... We were refunded the overcharge, but grudgingly... So this and the poor service did not make for a pleasant experience

Rather average hotel. Pros: - friendly and helpful staff - nice terrace with view on Rhein river - free wifi - clean sheets and bathroom Cons: - at 10pm bar and restaurant are being closed, no option to drink or eat it you are arriving late - incredibly squeaky floor (i'm fully aware that the building is old, but still it was anoying) - if you prefer to sleep with open window prepare yourself to the noise of barges flowing down the river - hotel does not accept american express credit cards, although the preauthorisation was made with amex - poor breakfasts
